There’s been a longtime story about Omega ‘El Fuerte’ and his visa status to travel to the US.
Supposedly, he’s been denied entrance to the US because of his run-in with the law specifically having to do with illegal firearms.
Well, his reps have sent us an press release regarding that. They say:
“We have been alerted about various media outlets dispensing inaccurate information about Omega’s affiliations, Visa status and U.S. return.
Omega is looking forward to his U.S. tour to share music off his upcoming album with his fans. He is currently touring Europe and Latin America. Up next, Omega will take the stage at the famed “Festival Presidente” in Santo Domingo on August 26th, where he will perform alongside Latin music stars Juanes, Luis Enrique and more. Omega will also be featured with Wisin y Yandel on the hot new remix of Enrique Iglesias’ newest song No Me Digas Que No. Omega’s current hits include Merengue Electronico and Tu Si Quieres, which have been climbing up the radio charts and heating up dance floors across the world.
We are slated to release a public announcement to the media regarding the details of his U.S. tour very soon.”
So, he got the visa to travel to the US after all.
The press release mentions ‘inaccurate information’, probably about the firearms gossip, but doesn’t clear it up at all.
