Colombia is already known for the inspiration to many films that portray "gangsta life" and "drug trafficking" etc.. the latest in the news is that Colombia has a crazy list rotating on facebook of Teenagers that were threatened and few successfully murdered. They were told to leave colombia in 3 days or die. The internet is not a place to have all of your personal information up. They say keep your friends close and your enemies closer..but I doubt they mean on the web! Check out CNN article below:

(via CNN) -- Three teens who were on a 69-name hit list posted on Facebook have been killed in the past 10 days in a southwestern Colombian town, officials say. Police say they do not know who posted the list or why the names are on it. "It is still not clear," Colombian national police spokesman Wilson Baquero told CNN. "This is part of the investigation." But officials note that a criminal gang known as Los Rastrojos and a Marxist guerrilla group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia operate in the area.

The hit list on Facebook, which was posted August 17, gave the people named three days to leave the town of Puerto Asis or be executed, said Volmar Perez Ortiz, a federal official whose title is defender of the public. Police at first thought the posting was a joke, Perez said in a statement issued Saturday. But the publication of a second list with 31 additional names led authorities to convene a special security meeting Friday, Perez said.

The posting of the lists and the meetings occurred after the first two killings, which took place August 15, Perez said. On that day, officials say, 16-year-old student Diego Ferney Jaramillo and 17-year-old CD retailer Eibart Alejandro Ruiz Munoz were shot and killed while riding a motorcycle on the road between Puerto Asis and the town of Puerto Caicedo. Both their names were later found on the first published hit list. Also on the list was Norbey Alexander Vargas, 19, who was killed August 20, Perez said. Another young man, 16-year-old student Juan Pablo Zambrano Anacona, was wounded in the same incident when he gave chase to the assassins, Perez said.

Colombian media said Monday the number of those threatened has grown and panic has overtaken Puerto Asis, with some parents sending their children out of town because their names are on the Facebook notice. The names of 31 women were posted on the other list, said Radio RCN, semana.com and other news outlets. Residents have been overcome with "panic and anxiety," several news outlets quoted Putumayo state official Andres Gerardo Verdugo as saying. Several of those residents posted their concerns on Twitter, an online messaging site. "Panic in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, because of threats against young people," wrote a user who goes by JuanSepulvedah. "Our youth must be protected." Someone who posted under the name JulianEco brought up the Facebook connection. "The situation in Puerto Asis is tenacious, that a social site be used to add fire to the Colombian conflict," the post said. Twitter user hugoparragomez likened the situation to the drug-fueled crime waves in other Colombian cities.
"What is happening in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, is grave, the same as in Medellin," the tweet said. "Authorities should take control of the situation. Who is investigating?"

Still others inflated the death count.

"In Puerto Asis they have killed 20 young people threatened on Facebook and the authorities have not said anything," wrote jesusmhenriquez "That is Colombia." Federal officials say they are taking the threats seriously and have sent investigators from Bogota, the nation's capital, to Puerto Asis. Internet experts are among the investigators assigned to the case. Authorities also are offering a reward of 5 million pesos (around $2,750) for information on the killings.

Perez, the federal defender of the public, noted that the Los Rastrojos criminal gang is active in Puerto Asis, "executing violent actions, resolving community conflicts, imposing living and conduct norms, intimidating and meting punishment against ... drug sellers and consumers, sex workers, people with criminal and unlawful histories and threatening social leaders, business people, taxi drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers." Perez said the Marxist guerrillas, commonly known as the FARC, also are active in the remote area, which borders Ecuador. Two Facebook representatives did not return a message Tuesday asking for comment.

Hip-hop star Pharrell Williams is battling an Italian fashion firm over his Ice Cream clothing line. He's suing the Gilmar Group for blocking a trademark application on his brand name on grounds that it's too similar to Gilmar's Ice and Iceberg labels. The acclaimed music producer claims that adding the word "cream" -- street slang for money -- "creates a vastly different sound, appearance, meaning and overall commercial impression." (AP)

Taylor Lautner The “Twilight” teen actor is claiming “emotional distress,” fraud and “annoyance” after a $300,000 trailer he ordered to use while shooting a new movie failed to arrive on time. Lautner, 18, is seeking unspecified damages for the no-show vehicle, which was reportedly promised to him by June 21. Apparently, the trailer wasn’t “tricked out” to Lautner’s liking nor was it delivered on time. My take on this?.. She chose to leave because she knew there was trouble ahead you cant blame her, whether she was alledgedly fired or quit it was for the best because there are obviously some issues behind the scenes at that company. As for her children and herself.. they modeled for Baby Phat case closed. Whether pictures were shopped up to perfection or not they were still considered employees / models. Fabulous on a Budget!

I'm a girl and I like what most girls like, shopping, drinks with my best friends, obsessing about what humidity does to my hair, and yearning over other women's nice shoes.

But aside from all that I'm a Latina.

And Latina woman were raised to learn how to be fabulous on a budget, from clipping coupons to asking Titi Laura to do your hair instead of paying at a salon full price.

I embrace my girlie girl-ism and my roots. Just because this economy isn't up to par doesn't mean I cant be a fashionista.

Call me a "Recessionista"

Here are a few tips on how to live fabulously without having to spend mucho dinero.

1. Purchase gift cards online from others:

People always need and want money, especially in this economy so they're are looking for anything to sell for some quick cash. One of the items that is ahead of the list is gift cards/ store credit they have. No matter what gift cards equal money. They either got it as a present, won it, or it have left over money from an item they returned that they couldn't get a refund for.

I love Craigslist.com and Ebay.com as I am always checking for deals on these websites. It's a great place to find people selling these gift cards with huge discounts. I recently bought an American Apparel gift card valued at $175 for just $125! That's a definite 30% discount!

Look for these gift cards online on www.Craigslist.com, www.Ebay.com, www.Backpage.com, www.Kijiji.com but always make sure to check the gift card value with the store it comes from before you give them any money for it.

2. Go back to school:

I don't know any female that doesn't like to indulge in an occasional massage, pedicure, or facial.

Since we are on a budget, we shouldn't have to go to an expensive spa since many massage and beauty schools offer the same services for half the price.

You can find many great schools through www.Yelp.com. They also have reviews where you can compare and contrast to make a better choice.

3. Happy Hour at Tu Casa:

My girls and I love to meet up for Happy Hour after a stressful day of appointments, errands, childcare, & work. Its always a great way to catch up and relieve stress but all those drinks even at a discounted price can really put a dent in your cartera.

Invite your girls over to your place and if it goes well you can take turns for the next "Happy Hour" amongst your friends so your not always hosting it. You can buy a bottle at the liquor store and make it fun by looking online for recipes. You can all get loose for only $10 bucks each. Plus, you can control your own music and don't have to deal with interruptions from other people.

4. Thrifty Fashion:

I love going to thrift stores and buying books at .25 cents a pop instead of paying $10 and up for a paperback and thats not the only good thing about a thrift store. If you like shopping (like I do) going through all sorts of clothing to find a funky outfit is actually pretty fun plus you'll own an outfit that no one else has. I always find the craziest accessories which is stuff from the 70's, & 80's that people donate.

Sometimes the coolest stuff out there was owned by someone else. Look for cool stuff in flea markets, garage/ yard sales that are usually listed on Craigslist. Also, Ebay & Freecycle.com have some cool stuff at next to nothing prices. My favorite thrift store that I just discovered is Unique. They have many stores throughout the tri-state area and they can be easily googled for more information.

5. Someone else's basura (trash) can be your tesoro (treasure):

This is an oldie but a goodie and it also applies to your ex. (haha)

But it is true how your "crap" may be another ladies new item and vice versa.

Set up a clothing swap with friends. Invite everyone to bring clothes they don't use, want, or need anymore and you'll be surprised to see how many items you want that others would have merely thrown away or donated. I scored a couple of dresses from girlfriends that didn't fit right on them but looked great on me! It's also a perfect excuse to catch up with friends without having to spend the money.
